What it entails
Your routine, rebuilt around what you can do.
After stroke, surgery, arthritis flare-ups or a neurological diagnosis, ordinary tasks can feel foreign. We break each one down, rebuild the missing pieces — strength, coordination, cognition, confidence — and adapt the task itself until it fits you again.
- Self-care retraining: washing, dressing, eating, bathing
- Kitchen and home skills: cooking, cleaning, laundry
- Hand function, fine motor control and splinting
- Assistive equipment trials and home adaptations
How it works
From “I can't” to “watch me”.
01
Listen
We start with your goals — the three tasks you most want back — and score how each one currently goes.
02
Analyse
Each task is broken into steps to find the exact barrier: grip, reach, balance, memory, fatigue or pain.
03
Rebuild
Targeted practice restores the missing ability while smart adaptations — rails, tools, routines — bridge the gap.
04
Live it
We rehearse in your real kitchen, bathroom or workplace when possible, then fade support as mastery grows.
Why it works
Independence is the outcome that matters.
Strength scores mean little if you still cannot button a shirt or make tea safely. By practising real tasks in real contexts — and involving your family — progress shows up where you actually live, not just on a clinic chart.
Questions
Empower FAQs.
Yes — neuro-rehabilitation is core to this service. Programmes adapt as conditions change, focusing on what you can control today and planning for tomorrow.
Home visits are available locally for assessments and equipment trials — there is no better place to solve kitchen or bathroom challenges than the kitchen or bathroom itself.
Only what earns its place. We trial rails, reachers, adapted utensils and supports before recommending anything, and our shop stocks the recovery aids we prescribe most.
